Archipiélagos is a dance and music project that also counts with the participation of invited artists, from literature and visual art; who during the presentation will perform in real time an autonomous work taking the host work as a live model.
The performers are: Adriana Viñals, dancer and Daniel Delgado, pianist.
The project "Archipiélagos" brings together a dancer, a pianist and two directors. The starting point is this meeting and a previous history: "Interiores", a dance and piano show, in which these artists were part of. The dancer and the pianist have a history resulting from their bond as mother and son. Archipiélagos is first of all a project that will build its story with other stories. Then, a premonition of the dancer, a restlessness of the musician, and a desiring look of the directors, are the materials to get to work.
The intention of the piece already has clear images. A piano on stage and a pianist, "the one who plays the piano", by stage effect is configured as a character. A dancer, "the one who dances", fictionalizes the stage in "spaces", the piano in "object", and the one who plays it in "partner". A "little preschool chair" as all furniture, a wardrobe: a cape, black glasses and gloves; and a nude in desavillé. And in all, the link and the story that the scene builds between "the one who dances", woman, dancer, mother; and "the one who plays the piano", son, man, pianist.
